Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns, split
  • 1 lb sliced deli turkey or roasted turkey breast
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 slices provolone or Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    1. Combine cranberries, honey, orange juice, orange zest, and cinnamon in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and the sauce thickens, about 8 minutes. Transfer to a squeeze bottle or small bowl and let cool slightly.

  2. 2

    2. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place the bottom halves of the slider buns in a baking dish and layer turkey slices evenly across them, followed by the cheese.

  3. 3

    3. Stir together melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then brush the mixture over the cut sides of the top buns.

  4. 4

    4. Place the top buns on the sliders, cover the dish with foil, and bake for 12 minutes until cheese is melted, then uncover and bake 3 more minutes until the tops are lightly golden.

  5. 5

    5. Arrange sliders on a plate and drizzle the cranberry sauce generously over the stacks, allowing it to pool between the layers before serving.
