Graveyard Dip

Spooky layered hummus topped with Oreo soil, cream cheese tombstones, and pretzel crosses.

⏱ 15 minServes 615 min prep0

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups store-bought or homemade hummus
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 8 chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreos), finely crushed
  • 12 pretzel sticks
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, for drizzling

Steps

  1. 1

    1. Beat the cream cheese with the sour cream and garlic powder until smooth, then transfer to a piping bag or zip-lock bag with a small corner snipped off.

  2. 2

    2. Spread the hummus in an even layer across the base of a terracotta or shallow serving dish, drizzle with olive oil, and dust with smoked paprika.

  3. 3

    3. Scatter the crushed chocolate cookies evenly over the hummus to create a dark 'soil' layer.

  4. 4

    4. Pipe small rectangular cream cheese 'tombstones' standing upright in the cookie soil, then press two short pretzel sticks into the hummus in front of each tombstone to form crosses.

  5. 5

    5. Sprinkle chopped parsley around the tombstones for a mossy graveyard effect and serve immediately with pita chips or extra pretzel sticks.
