⏱ 15 minServes 415 min prep0

Ingredients

  • 200g smoked salmon, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp capers, drained
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges
  • 4 sprigs fresh dill
  • 120ml crème fraîche
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp finely chopped chives
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/2 small red onion, very thinly sliced

Steps

  1. 1

    1. Whisk together the crème fraîche, heavy cream, lemon juice, chives, and white pepper in a small bowl until smooth and pourable, then transfer to a small ceramic pitcher.

  2. 2

    2. Arrange the salmon slices on a large wooden board or platter, fanning them in overlapping arcs to cover most of the surface.

  3. 3

    3. Tuck the red onion slices and capers into the gaps between the salmon, distributing them evenly.

  4. 4

    4. Nestle the lemon wedges around the edges and lay the dill sprigs across the arrangement.

  5. 5

    5. Just before serving, slowly pour the cream dressing from the pitcher over the platter in thin ribbons, letting it pool naturally across the salmon.
