Dense, fudgy dark chocolate brownies finished with a white chocolate spiderweb drizzle.
1. Preheat oven to 175°C. Line a 20cm square baking tin with parchment. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring until smooth, then remove from heat and cool slightly.
2. Whisk the sugar into the melted chocolate mixture, then beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
3. Fold in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined — do not overmix. Pour batter into the prepared tin and smooth the top.
4. Bake for 22–25 minutes until the edges are set but the centre has a slight wobble. Cool completely in the tin before cutting into squares.
5. Melt the white chocolate with the cream in a small heatproof bowl, stirring until pourable. Transfer to a small ceramic pitcher or piping bag.
6. Arrange the brownie squares on a wooden board, then drizzle the warm white chocolate in thin concentric circles over the surface. Use a toothpick to drag lines from the centre outward to create a spiderweb pattern.
